Ford Escort XR3. Early 4 speed carb model imported from South Africa. All tax and duty paid and we will complete all the registration paperwork for the new owner in their name. This car is a 1982 model. Car starts runs and drives but will need a bit work to get it to a useable standard.

 

Body - Early XR3 shell with two bolt strut tops and short roof gutters. Pretty decent shell. Original wings, arches, sills , inner wings. Way better than one thats been here for 40 winters. Will need a battery tray, repair on nsf floor and repair on both lower rear quarters. Good spare wheel well. Few dents underneath from jacking up but generally very good. Paintwork is ok but would really redone to make it nice. 

 

Mechanics - 1600 cvh with 4 speed box. Starts runs and drives. As with any old car will need a good check over before being trashed down the local B road. Carb may need adjusted due to the different climate. 

 

Interior - This one has the hard dash. Ive seen a few from over there like this. Not sure if factory or been changed. Strobe seats which are quite well worn. Correct XR3 clocks and steering wheel. Door cards are poor. 

 

Wheels - Horrible chromey things........

 

This would be a fairly straightforward project or a decent donor shell. Please feel free to come and see the car. We have a ramp so you can look underneath. Delivery can be arranged if required. Please ask for a quote.
