Ford Cortina MK3 Pickup. Genuine Ford built truck from South Africa which has only had one owner from new in SA. Its a very very solid truck, which apart from a couple of bits of paint that have been done its totally original.

 

Body - Genuine Ford built MK3 pickup. These pickups were not available here and are very rare with probably less than 20 in the UK. The body is very solid with no signs of any welding being done or needed. Its nice and straight with no signs of filler. Paintwork is fine. Its no show winner, but perfectly presentable. Overall a very very straight solid original body.

 

Mechanics - Good 1600 crossflow which is very quiet. Clutch and brakes are good.Choke is not connected as it came from a hot climate so this will need looking at. Bit of a flatspot when cold but ok when warm.. Still has its original 4 speed box and running gear. Starts runs and drives well. Appears to have been well looked after over the years

 

Interior - Totally original bench seat and door cards. Good dash top, carpet and headlining. Quite a tidy truck inside. 

 

Wheels - Standard steels with original colour coded hubcaps..

 

Very solid pickup. This is as good an unrestored one of these as you will ever find. We look all the time and rarely get ones this good. Please feel free to come and see it. we have a ramp so you can look underneath. Delivery can be arranged if required. please ask for a quote.
