1966 Ford Cortina MK1 Estate fitted with 2.0 Xetec, 5 Speed , LSD , Steering Rack conversion and so on. Ive know this car for around 20 years when i bought it from a chap from Oban in Scotland when it was a standard 1500. It was a good shell but woefully slow so I set about converting it to a 2.0 Pinto at that time with 5 speed etc. I sold it, bought it back, sold it again to the same person, it got converted to a Zetec at that point. It then came back again and was sold down to York area for a while and the owner at that time fitted coilovers, lowered it a bit more and fitted an LSD to the rear axle. I bought it back again!!!! then sold it to a chap in West Scotland who has used it for a couple of show seasons but his dog hates it and refuses to get in it!! so yeah you guessed it I bought it back again. Jump in and drive this anywhere its really well sorted. Big folder full of receipts with for various work carried out over the years.

Body - Mk1 Cortina Estate. Good solid floors. Had strut top repairs and the car was repainted nearly 20 years ago. Still looks good and perfectly useable but a few minor marks appearing here and there. Rare with the chrome side trim which is all intact and good. Front quarter bumpers, spotlights, grille painted like a Lotus, Gt badge on boot, rear wiper custom fitted and works. Lovely looking old car still but Im a bit biased.

Mechanics - 2.0 Xetec, 5 speed box, LSD diff, rear trampbars fitted, front coilovers, lowering blocks, steering rack conversion, rs2000 track control arms, poly bushed, alloy radiator, retro ford exhaust manifold and custom exhaust . Small race battery under bonnet and back up battery under the boot. Starts runs and drives really well for an old car. Brakes are capri 2.8 calipers and discs.

Interior - Fairly standrad with the addition of a couple of extra guages in dash which all work. Good dash top, door cards were renewed 20 years ago but still look good. Drivers seat needs a repair on the side but easy fix. Back seat is good and folds flat.

Wheels - Lotus Steels with good tyres.
