Solid Car – Needs Tidied
Here we have a solid little 67 Anglia which we took as a trade-in yesterday. We were happy to do so as it’s rock solid and original underneath. The colour combo is a bit wild though with the orangey, browny, yellowy paint job and green seats. I mean who thought that was a good idea and who agreed? That aside it’s rock solid, starts, runs and drives and looks to have had a fair bit money spent on new parts in the not so distant past. This was an imported in 2020. We don’t think it was one of ours but old age, and 1200 imports later, I can’t always remember.
Bodywork.
Very original underneath and straight and doesn’t need you to look out the mig welder. Dent on nsr lower quarter at the very bottom. Paintjob is useable rather than beautiful. Looks to have been done some time ago and has picked up a few minor scrapes, scuffs, dings dents etc. Bumpers are good and have overriders.
Mechanics.
Starts no problem from cold with a bit choke. Runs fine. Brakes are good but a slight pull to the left. New fuel pump. brake and clutch cylinders. Spare tank and heater box in the boot. Steering is nice and tight. Pulls fine but you won’t need your neck brace for the sheer horsepower. Leads look new, rocker cover and air filter been powdercoated.
Interior.
Original green interior which goes rather well with the orange (said no one ever). Seats and door cards are decent, Good headlining and carpet.
Wheels.
Standard steels with hubacp and beauty rings. Tyres look ok but a bit old.
Our thoughts.
