1993 Ford Sierra 3.0i RS. This is a factory built South African model which had an injected version of the 3.0 Essex engine. There was only 150 of the saloon versions made and this is number 129. Its RHD and was recently imported from South Africa. All tax and duty has been paid and we will complete all the UK registration paperwork for the new owner. The car will need MOTD before the UK registration paperwork can be submitted. It starts runs and drives but will need a bit work to bring it up to scratch as listed below.

 

Body - Ford Sierra Sapphire . Very solid underneath. Has had repairs to front floors in past but done to a decent standard. Bit of corrosion showing on inner wings near battery tray and fusebox which will require investigation. Doesnt look heavy but it is present. Battery tray also needs looking at.  Paintwork is ok but couple of the doors are a different shade which would need sorting. 

 

Mechanics - 3.0 Essex engine which runs factory fitted fuel injection. These engines were uprated from the old Essex engines we got in the Capri Granada. 5 Speed box and standard 3.0 Sierra drivetrain. Car starts runs and drives. Recently fitted plugs as it had fouled one.  Brakes and clutch feel fine. As with any old car it will need a good checkover. Generally cars from SA will need perishable items replaced such as gaitors, ball joints as the MOT is not as strict as ours. Idle speed control valve doesnt appear to be working. Electrics will need a good going through as a lot of the lights appear to be not working.

 

Interior - Factory leather interior. Crack on dash. Pasenger side door card has a tear . Good headlining

 

Wheels - Aftermarket alloys with 225/35/18 tyres. 

 

Very rare car as they were only available for the South African market and only 150 of the Sapphire ones were released.. Please feel free to come and see the car. We have a ramp so you can look underneath. Delivery can be arranged if required. please ask for a quote.
