Ford Fiesta MK1 XR2. Superb example which was restored between 2009 and 2011 and was used until 2016 when it was dry stored until now. Really nice looking car with a few additions / upgrades. We have the original service book, handbooks and some old MOTS. The car has done 124,000 miles and has had 8 previous owners. Everything was either new or refurbished at the time of restoration. Current owner has owned the car since 2008

 

Body - Full restoration was carried out on a spit. It had new front panel, front wings, bonnet, driver side inner wing, front floor pans, both sills,rear valance. Rot free tailgate and doors. American "monroof". Austrian motorsport rear roof spoiler. Climate pack opening quarters. Paint is lovely. No signs of any rust or bubbling. Car is all body colour underneath and detailed. American style front grille.  Lovely looking car

 

Interior - Uncracked dash. Does have on  small storage dimple on passenger side but not bad. RS fourspoke steering wheel with motorsport boss, speedo and revcounter rearranged from standard, standard centre console with PSRT radio cassettte player. Cassette player doesnt work. Standard grey carpet, Escort MK5 RS2000 seats recovered with grey leather squabs. Rear seat and door cards covered to match the front seats.Good rear quarter cards and parcel shelf. 

 

Mechanics - 1600 crossflow, rebored plus 60 thou, fully rebuilt, lightened flywheel, kent 234 cam, unleaded head. Previously ran twin 40s but now on a twin choke weber. Could do with the chokes refitting for when cold but when warm runs fine. RS Turbo LSD 5 speed box, quickshift linkage fitted (not puma), fiesta centre 5 speed tie bar kit fitted, poly bushed, Rear axle blasted and powder coated, adjustable rear anti roll bar, new rear drums and shoes, braided flexis, spax adjustable rear shocks, spax lowering springs all round, KYB gas front struts, Camber nuts fitted, drilled and grooved discs,mintex pads, compbrake top mounts, All stainless nuts and bolts.Full custom made vexhaust including manifold. Custom made 3 core radiator, silicone hoses, ali catch tank,

 

Wheels - Standard refurbished pepperpots with toyo roadpro tyres.

 

Really lovely old car with some nice upgrades. Might not be for the purists but the owner built it how he wanted it and has made a cracking job of it.
