Early Ford Escort XR3, non injection 5 speed model. Car has done just 75000 miles and has only covered about 1000 miles in last 8 years. Its in very good order retaining all its original features and comes Motd till August 21. The V5 has been applied for and will be here soon. There are two sets of keys with it and a couple of old MOTS but not a lot of history. 

 

Body - Early XR3 shell with two bolt strut tops, original sills, inner wings, arches, spare wheel well. Has had the battery tray repaired at some point, a pair of new wings fitted and the paintwork refreshed. The car looks very straight and the paintwork is very tidy. Good solid car throughout.

 

Mechanics - All standard XR3 . Good quiet engine. new uprated clutch, new carburettor, recently serviced including timing belt. Brakes are good. Car drives spot on and is nice and tight. 

 

Interior - Again all original with the correct strobe seats. Good door cards, carpet and headlining. Dash is very good with only one tiny crack on the vent which is hardly noticeable but only right to point it out. 

 

Wheels - 5 x Cloverleaf alloys with good tyres.
