Ford Escort Mk2 RS2000. Selling on behalf of a customer this is a very quick well sorted car which has had fortunes spent on it and is ready to go and play in. Due to the flat front and colour scheme i understand it may not be one for the purists but its  a cracking quick very solid example. 

 

Body - Escort RS2000. Im told it was reshelled at some point in its past. If this is an  issue it may not be for you. If not read on. Really solid early type shell with the big strut top holes and all the right extra strengthening. Car is all body colour underneath and is really clean. If its had any repairs done in the past they have been done extremely well as there are no signs of them and everything looks pretty original. Paintwork is nice and tidy. It was done nearly 10 years ago we think so it has a few minor marks but overall a very good looking old car. There are loads of photos of the car when it was being restored which show everything in detail.  Overall a really strong tidy shell. Early FORD grille, Spotlights with the brackets which take lower ones as well. Mexico style front spoiler. Opening quarter windows will be removed and replaced with standard ones as customer wants to keep them

 

Mechanics - 2.0 Pinto with correct alloy sump, Rumoured to have around 180 bhp. Not fully sure on the spec but can confirm it goes very very well. Alloy bellhousing, type 9 gearbox with tracsport alloy casings, quick shift gearstick, 1 piece prop, atlas rear axle with limited slip diff, alloy axle brace, cossy rear discs and calipers, uprated front calipers, front coilovers, rear bilsteins, poly bushed all round, single leaf rear springs, biuas pedal box, uprated brake hoses.

 

Interior - RS dash with fully working white needle clocks, clock and pod, Rolltop seats which have been retrimmed in leather and the backs to match. Rs centre console, original radio, black headlining.

 

Wheels - Genuine 7" Ronals not copies with good 185 60 13 Yokohamas.
