Ford Escort RS2000 . Was a well known car in the North of Scotland back in the day. It has been off the road for a while but has recently had a small fortune spent on it bringing it back to life. Everything has been replaced, renewed or refurbed. It runs and drives very well. We have the V5 here which states RS2000. There is no real history with the car. It has a rally style interior which might not be to everyones taste but easily changed.  

 

Body - Genuine RS2000  Good solid shell which needs nothing doing. Looks like its had both half floors replaced in the past and new centre rails as well as the boot wells being replaced. Has also had arches done at some point. Paintwork is really tidy. The car is nice and straight and the doors sit properly in the gaps. If im being critical in the boot could do with being painted to the same standard as the rest of the car. Its a really good looking example externally.

 

Mechanics - 2.0 Pinto which was built by Jem engines. Not sure on the spec internally but Im told it has 160 bhp and after driving it Id say thats about right. The engine has just been run in and is basically new. Its running on new Twin 45s, , Alloy Rally Fuel Tank, Straight Cut 5 speed gearbox with Quaife internals , LSD, single leaf rear springs , car polybushed throughout, quick rack, strut brace, silicone hoses, alloy radiator, ashley exhaust, new prop, 1 inch lowering blocks, new hel brake lines, new handbrake cable, bilstein rear shocks, alloy sump and bellhousing, new gearbox mount, willwood front calipers, vented discs, front coilovers, lightweight race battery, bias pedal box,   

 

Interior - RS Dash with all gauges working apart from fuel guage as its an alloy tank in the boot, Sparco seats with TRS harnesses, Flocked Dash, Alloy door cards. No Headlining, full Safety Devices cage suede steering wheel, seats are quite narrow so if you have a bit extra timber like me you might not fit in them and they may need changing. If your built like a whippet then youll have no problem.

 

Wheels - New JBW 7" Replicas with Yokohama A539 185 60 13 tyres. 

 

Genuine RS which looks superb and can be used as it is or someone might want to convert the interior back to original. Runs and drives really well and its quick.Its a really well put together car and definitely not a cobbled together dung beetle. . Please feel free to come and see the car.
