Ford Escort Mk2 2.0, Uk car with 8 owners from new. Very tidy well sorted car which has had a small fortune spent on it. It has all the right bits on it and Its ready to use and abuse. Mot and Tax exempt. If you want a concourse show winner then this might not be for you. If you want a solid very well sorted car thats great mechanically read on.......

 

Shell. - Very solid. Has had repairs in all the usual places over the years. Underneath repairs are quite tidy. Not totally invisible but not offensive patches either. Paintwork is nice and tidy. Car looks quite straight. Had strut tops repaired in the past. Again not invisible but not offensive and easily tidied up.  Also had repairs on inner wing up near bulkhead. Couple of minor bubbles near windscreen at scuttle and lower quarter. Arch lips have been rolled. Has obviously been painted at some point in its life. Panel gaps are good. Car is very presentable looking and sits well

 

Mechanics - Fortunes spent on parts. 2.0 pinto with mild cam im told. Not fully sure on engine spec but dyno sheet for 112.5 bhp which im assuming is at the wheels. Dellortos were rebuilt fairly recently and cars runs really well cold or hot. No popping or banging from carbs. It has alloy sump alloy rad, 5 speed type 9 gearbox, single piece prop, aftermarket exhaust, gaz front coilovers and gaz adjustable rear shocks, single leaf rear springs, lowering block's, trampbars, rear anti roll bar, drilled, grooved discs, adjustable TCAs, quickrack, alloy rack mounts, poly bushes. 

 

Wheels -  Brand new revolutions with new nuts and Yokohama A539 tyres.

 

Interior - Bucket seats, carpeted everywhere else, custom doorcards, new rubbers, suede springalex steering wheel, sport dash.
