Ford Escort 1600 Sport Project. RHD Import from South Africa . All tax and duty paid and NOVA declaration done. We will help the new owner with the registration paperwork. What you see in the pictures is what comes with the car. Fairly solid old shell needing a few bits tidied up but good starting point for a project.

 

Body - Mk2 Escort 1600 Sport export spec shell with extra strengthening similar to our RS models. Good inner wings, strut tops, sills, bonnet, bootlid. Man made hole in driver side inner wing, must have a bigger engine fitted at some point. Front floors have been repaired and need done better as do boot wells. Doors look decent but evidence of a repair on the inside of one at the bottom.Chassis rails are solid, Inner and rear floors very good. With the car there is all glass but one screen has a crack, headlight bowls, centre console , servo, front rubber spoiler similar to mexico one, wiring loom, quarter bumpers and rear bumper, grille, door cards

 

Mechanics - Appear to have a 1300 crossflow sittting in the engine bay and  a 4 speed gearbox. Not tried to get it running. 

 

Interior - Dash top needs replaced. Have door cards but a bit worn. Sport seats fitted but will need retrimmed. No carpets

 

Wheels - Mismatch of old steels.

 

Good shell for a project especially if you had a donor car with a lot of bits on it. Please feel free to come and see it. we have a ramp so you can look underneath. Delivery can be arranged if required. Please ask for a quote
