Ford Escort Mk2 1.6 GL. Very original old car which has only covered just over 50,000 miles or 80,000 kms. Still very much on its first time round the block and not been messed with but will need a bit of a cosmetic tidy up. Its a RHD import from South Africa with all tax and duty paid. The NOVA declaration has been done and the car is now fully Uk registered.

Body - Mk2 Escort 4 Door. Export spec shell with some extra strengthening on it. Long range tank in boot. Good original inner wings, strut tops, floors, sills, arches, pillars. Floors have never been welded and are spot on. Will need a repair in both boot wells, small repair on lower passenger side front wing, repairs on outside of one of the C pillars. The bonnet has surface rust coming through but the bonnet itself is good. Doors are very good. Good bumpers and trim. Paintwork is useable but after you carry out the repairs it will need paint.

Mechanics - Good 1600 crossflow which started first turn after been in a shipping container for about 5 weeks. The car drives very well and feels nice and tight, suggesting that the mileage is correct. Its not been in a million bits and been clobbered back together. Engine is really sweet. Gearbox, clutch and brakes are fine.

Interior - All standard. Good dash top, good door cards. Drivers seat has a couple of splits on the base along the seam lines. Good headlining and carpet.

Wheels - Standard steels with chrome centre caps and trim rings.
