Ford Escort MK2 1.6 Automatic, Very Original car which has just been imported from South Africa. Being an Auto it has a bigger tunnel than a manual so ideal for a conversion. Fairly solid old car but will need a few small repairs on it. Now fully UK registered as PAO577P

 

Body - Mk2 Escort shell with bigger tunnel as its an Automatic. Doesnt look to have ever been welded. Will need small repairs in boot wells, front floor, and around the nearside bonnet hinge. Original sills, arches, inner wings, strut tops. Good boot bonnet and doors. Paintwork is presentable with only minor marks. Not a show winner but perfectly useable.

 

Mechanics - Nice quiet 1600 crossflow. Auto box works as it should. Good brakes. Car starts runs and drives and was in use prior to import. As with any old car will need a good checkover before using it regularly.

 

Interior - All original and in good order. Good dash top, door cards, seats, parcel shelf. Carpet has seen better days on drivers side and could do with being replaced.

 

Wheels - Standard steels with original hubcaps.
