1976 Ford Escort Mk2 1.3 Ghia 2 Door Automatic. LHD import which is fully UK registered.  This one is a very solid car which appears to very very original apart from a bit of paintwork.

 

Body -  LHD early MK2 shell with the bigger strut top holes. Good original inner wings, outer wings, strut tops, sills, arches, floors. boot wells, pillars..  Very very good underneath. I cant see any signs of any welding done. Paintwork is very nice. Its got a very very minor bubble on the bottom corner of one lower quarter otherwise its spot on. Panel gaps are all good. Really good looking straight old car. Being an auto this car has the bigger tunnel.

 

Mechanics - Good original 1300 crossflow with original auto. Starts runs and drives well. All standard running gear. Manual choke fitted. We had this car out on Saturday and done about 20 miles in it. It was really good to drive. Wheels may need balanced but otherwise very good. This car was set up for a disabled driver so the throttle pedal is to the left of the brake. The original pedal comes with the car so it can be put back to standard

 

Interior - Original seats, good Rs / ghia door cards, headlining and carpets are all good too. dash top is spotless. Really nice old car inside 

 

Wheels - Standard steels with good 175 70 13 tyres and chrome trim rings..
