Ford Escort Mk1 2 Door LHD. Imported from Romania and is now fully UK registered under AWW 107K. This has to be the cleanest MK1 Escort shell i have seen in a long long time. Its never been welded and is as in superb condition for its age. We have the V5. The car starts runs and drives as it should and really is a bit of a time warp car.

 

Body - 1971 MK1 escort shell with the shocks that bolt on underneath. Original floors, sills, doors, pillars, arches, inner wings and so on. Underneath does not look to have ever been welded and you can see ever line, join, spot weld. Its very clean underneath and not plastered in underseal and is hiding nothing. Paintwork is clean and tidy with a few minor scrapes from storage. Couple of tiny bubbles on bottom of each front wing where it meets the sills. I think it has been re painted at some stage. In my opinion this is as good as an original shell that you are ever likely to find. I know converting it to RHD is a bit work but its a lot less work than welding up a rotter.

 

Mechanics - All standard and basic 1100/ Car has only covered about 45000 miles or 76000 kms. Engine starts and runs no problem. Gearbox clutch and brakes are all good. Car is MOT and tax exempt.

 

Interior - Original factory Olive Green, seats, dash, steering wheel, and door cards. These are in superb condition and look brand new.

 

Wheels - Original 12" steels with hub caps. Tyres are Ok in terms of tread but look a bit old and best to be replaced.
