Ford Escort Mk2 1600 Sport. Very original car which doesnt appear to have ever been welded and looks like all original panels. Very tidy survivor car which starts runs and drives really well compared with a lot of them. All tax and duty paid and NOVA declaration done. Car will need UK registered but we will do all the paperwork for the new owner and assist with the registration process. This car will be MOT and tax exempt from the 1st April 2021.

 

Body - Escort Mk2 Export spec shell with similar strengthening on the front to our RS Models. Original inner wings, strut tops, arches sills, bott wells, pillars and all outer panels as far as we can see. This car does not appear to have ever been welded and is a rare survivor. The paintwork in the main is decent but its had a blow in on the front of the passenger side wing and the colour match is poor. Panel gaps are spot on. This really is a cracking original shell.

 

Mechanics - All standard sport. Good quiet engine, 4 speed box. Brakes and clutch are good. Car drives really nice and feels tight unlike some which have been in a million bits and cobbled back together.

 

Interior - Original interior.. Good dash top, original headlining and doorcards but fronts have speakers cut in. Good carpet. Back seat and passenger seat are very clean. Drivers seat has a small tear on outer vinyl section on the back and a bit wear on the base.

 

Wheels - Original deep dish sport steels with 175 70 13 tyres

 

This is a cracking and very rare unrestored example. I dont find many like this. Yes it needs a couple of tidy ups but its a superb shell and very original.
