Ford Escort Mk2 1600 Sport, RHD Import from South Africa with all tax and duty paid. Will need Uk registered but we can assist you with this process. Very Solid original car. Shell will need no metal work
 
Body - Export spec shell with similar strengthening to RS2000. Good original inner wings, strut tops, rear arches, sills. Floors are original and had not been patched but did require a couple of rtepairs on the front floor pans which we have done with the correct repair panels. Good chassis rails and boot floor.We have also just repaired the boot wells with proper repair panels. Heater bubble looks like its been repaired at some point. Paintwork is ok but a few marks here and there due to its age. Perfectly useable but no show winner in current condition. Good doors, boot and bonnet. The shell is now solid from front to back and will make a cracking car



Mechanics - All standard 1600 sport. 1600 crossflow engine which starts and runs. No smoke or nasty noises but will need the carb adjusted due to the different climate. Standard suspension and large 9" rear brakes similar to our Rs models,



Interior - Seats have been retrimmed with matching doorcards. Good headlining. Again perfectly useable but you might want to upgrade or get seats with the standard material. we have a set available at additional cpst.



Wheels - 13" Minilite style wheels with good tyres.



Decent starting point for a running resto as wont need too much work to turn it round. Please feel free to come and see the car. We have a ramp so you can look underneath. delivery can be arranged if required. Please ask for a quote.
