1974 Ford Cortina MK3 2.5 V6. This is a RHD Import from South Africa with all tax and duty paid.The NOVA declaration has been done and we will do all the paperwork for the new owner to register it. 

 

Body - Later MK3 Cortina shell. Larger South African style bonnet which was fitted to the V6 models. Car looks all original underneath and is very solid. No signs of any nasty patches. Paintwork is perfectly presentable but not a show winner. Its had a vinyl roof fitted at some stage in its life as its still got the holes where the finishing trim would go at bottoms of C pillars. Bit of bubbling at bottom of both front and rear screen pillars, otherwise the body is good. Twin headlight setup, good straight bumpers .

 

Mechanics - 2.5 V6 version of the Essex engine which was factory fitted in a lot of Mk3 Cortinas in South Arica. Looks to have had a lot of new parts fitted, such as fuel pump, rocker covers, leads and so on. Car starts and runs well. No smoke or nasty rattles. Running gear all looks standard. Car will need a good checkover before being used in anger. Carb may need adjusted due to the different climate

 

Interior - Good dashtop, aftermarket steering wheel. Seats look like Recaro style seats from later African Cortinas with matching rear seats and door cards. Actually a pretty tidy job

 

Wheels - Aftermarket alloys. Love them or hate them.....your choice.
