Ford Cortina Mk3 1.6 Pickup or Bakkie as they are known in South Africa. This is a genuine Ford factory built pickup which were not available here. Its extremely solid and tidy and looks to have been well looked after. Its the very rare styleside body with the coke bottle shape and the MK3 cortina rear lights. The later ones had the similar body to a P100. This model also has the early sloping dash  which is again rare. This pickup is fully Uk registered and we have lots of receipts with the vehicle for money recently spent on it. This is a very rare pickup especially in this condition.

 

Body - Genuine factory built pickup. Similar to our P100 pickups but we only got these from a MK5. Really solid from front to back. In the main all original but has been painted at some point. It needs no work underneath. Panel gaps are all good. Paint is very nice and really looks good in the sun. Bed is solid . Minor bubbles on the bottom of one front wing. Really tidy looking pickup this one.

 

Mechanics - 1600 crossflow with 4 speed box and standard running gear. Engine is good and nice and quiet, Gearbox is fine as are the clutch and brakes.  Lots of new parts fitted as follows. Ignition switch, Steering rack gaitors, Crank rear oil seal, dipstick and tube, clutch cable, clutch, alternator, fan belt, gearbox oil changed, front pads, speedo cable, master cyl seal kit, door panel clips, track rod ends x 2, rear wheel cylinders x 2, distributor cap, points, condenser, rear light lens, radiator hoses, heater matrix, brake master cylinder, indicator lens, grill badge, wheel alignment done. .

 

Interior. - Very tidy interior which has been retrimmed and is in very good condition. .

 

Wheels - Banded steels with hubcaps and chrome trim rings.

 

This is a really rare truck in very good order for its age. Its had losts recently spent sorting out all the niggles. Please feel free to come and see the truck when that is possible. We have  a ramp so you can look underneath. Delivery can be arranged if required. Please ask for a quote.
