1972 Ford Cortina MK3 1.6 just imported from Sunny South Africa. Very Solid car which has never been welded. Really solid old car which just needs a bit tinkering to bring it up to scratch.. All tax and duty paid and NOVA declaration done. We will fill out all the UK registration paperwork in the new owners name.

 

Body - Early Mk3 sloping dash. Never been welded. Looks all original panels. Solid from front to back. Looks like its been painted at some point but its a nice tidy job. Good panel gaps. No signs of rust. Vinyl roof looks to have been renewed as well. African cars had white rather than black due to the heat. Very good looking solid car.

 

Mechanics - Good 1.6 crossflow which starts no problem. Car runs and drives. Clutch and brakes are good. On test drive it jumped out of second gear a few times. We will try and source a box but happy to sell as it is and negotiate.Carb may need a little adjustment due to the different climate. Will need a choke cable fitting

 

Interior - Very good dashtop, seats, carpets and headlining. Seats and door cards look to have been redone at some point and are very tidy and clean.

 

Wheels - Standard steels with chrome trim rings and hubcaps. 

 

Lovely old car which seems to be unmolested and fairly original. It would be very hard to get a shell as original as this over here. Please feel free to come and see the car. We have a ramp so you can look underneath. Delivery can be arranged if required. Please ask for a quote.
