Ford Cortina MK3 Pickup or Bakkie as they are known in South Africa. This is a genuine Ford built pickup fitted with a 3.0 V6 Essex. Very solid old truck which starts runs and drives. Will need a little bit of tidying but great starting point. These pickups had a bigger cab than the later MK5 p100s as they use a 2 door door, whereas the mk5 used a 4 door door and had a shorter cabin area. Will need Uk registered but we will complete all the paperwork for the new owner and assist them if any problems.

 

Body - Genuine Ford built factory pickup. Good inner wings, load bed, wings, doors, sills, rear body, chassis. Need a small repair on either side of the rear part of the cab floor. This is common as its the lowest point and a water trap. If someone pays us the asking price we will repair this properly for you. Couple of rust blebs, but not major on the bottom of the wings. Paintwork is ok for a working vehicle. Its useable as it is but definitely not a show pony.

 

Mechanics - Cracking sounding 3.0 V6 Essex engine with upgraded manual 5 speed gearbox. Starts runs and drives. Was on the road in South Africa but as wth all mold vehicles will benefit from a thorough checkover. Good clutch and brakes. Great note from the exhaust.

 

Interior - Seats have been changed and door cards trimmed to match. Could do with being upgraded if we are honest.

 

Overall a good solid pickup. These are very rare as they were not available in the UK. Please feel free to come and see it. We have a ramp available to inspect underneath. Delivery can be arranged if required please ask for a quote.
