Ford Cortina 1600E in need of restoration. Current owner has had this car since 1983 when he bought it as his first car. It was used till 2004 when it was parked up. It Will need restored but definitely not beyond repair and a good project for someone. Its showing 50 odd thousand miles and has had 5 previous owners. We have the current V5 , the old V5 and some paperwork from when it was on the road.

 

Body - 1600E shell. Has had work on top plates and inner wings previously which will need done to a better standard. Will need work on arches, sills, inner sills, outriggers, Floor looks fairly decent as does boot floor. Paintwork will need redone. Bubbling on bottoms of doors and wings. Probably will be more after you start poking and prodding.

 

Mechanics - Last ran in 2004 when it was parked up. Engine will turn over but we have not tried to start it. Everything else looks standard but will need going through from front to back.

 

Interior - Original front seats are missing. Rear seat looks decent. Door cards , are useable. Wood will all need refurbed.  Original steering wheel is in the boot.

 

Wheels - Full chrome rostyles in need of refurb. 5th one in boot.

 

This car needs a fair bit love but definitely not beyond repair . Please feel free to come and see it. We have a ramp so you can look underneath. Delivery can be arranged if required. Please ask for a quote.
