1980 Base Model RS2000. Genuine car which has been tucked away for many years. It was unearthed last year and the current owner got all the hard work done but has decided to move the car on and not finish the project. Its a base model car, not  a Custom. We have the current V5, lots or receipts and paperwork from back in the 90s and an original owners handbook with it. 

 

Body - RS2000 shell. Has had new inner wings, 2 rear outer arches, 2 outer sills, both boot wells replaced,floors repaired, lower doors repaired. Everything is solid and tidy. Its not a concourse job but will make a good solid tidy car. The car will need repainted and finished off. Replacement screen rubbers and quarter window rubbers fitted. Original nosecone and rear spoiler. Headlight and other small items are in the boot

 

Mechanics - Engine is in the car with the alloy sump, mounts and bellhousing. It is a 2.0 block but dont think its the original engine. 4 speed box fitted, RS manifold and radiator are there. Proper RS rear axle. Wiring loom is in the car but needs fed through into the engine bay. The main missing parts are seat belts, and the exhaust. There will be other small bits required as well. Car has not been running recently.

 

Interiors - Rear seat has new beta cloth cover on it. Front seats could be base model seats but not sure and would need replaced / recovered. RS dash clocks in place, RS steering wheel. Base model door cards. Current owner can supply a pair of retrimmed and refurbed fishnets at a cost of £2500.

 

Wheels - Refurbished deep dish steels with good matching tyres
