Ford Cortina MK3 Pickup or Bakkie as they are known in South Africa. This is a genuine Ford built pickup fitted with a 2.5 V6 Essex. Very solid truck which starts runs and drives well. These pickups had a bigger cab than the later MK5 p100s as they use a 2 door door, whereas the mk5 used a 4 door door and had a shorter cabin area. Will need Uk registered but we will complete all the paperwork for the new owner and assist them if any problems.

 

Body - Genuine Ford built factory pickup. Doesnt appear to have ever been welded. Good inner wings, load bed, wings, doors, sills, rear body, chassis. Very straight body. .Paintwork is decent and perfectly useable but not a show winner.

 

Mechanics - Very quiet 2.5 V6  Essex engine with standard 4 speed gearbox. Starts runs and drives.very well.  Was used daily in South Africa. Good clutch and brakes. Sounds great. 

 

Interior - Original bench seat which has a cover on it. Underneath its a bit worn and cracked but perfectly useable with a good clean. See pic

 

Wheels - 15" BBS style alloys with good tyres

 

Overall a very good solid example of one of these.. These are very rare as they were not available in the UK. Please feel free to come and see it. We have a ramp available to inspect underneath. Delivery can be arranged if required please ask for a quote.
