Ford Cortina Mk1 2 Door . Recent import from South Africa.  All tax and duty paid and NOVA done. We will assist the new owner with the registration process. Very solid old car which could benefit from a bit tidying..

 

Body - 2 Door Cortina Shell - Good strut tops, inner wings, wings, doors, boot, bonnet quarters. Has had a repair in the boot well previously which really needs redone. Also had a couple of minor repairs underneath but overall a really good strong shell for its age.. Paintwork is OK and perfectly useable but no show winner. Panel gaps are decent. Evidence of a bit of a filler in lower quarters at the rear and on the corner of the passenger side door. 

 

Mechanics - 1600 Crossflow with 4 speed box. Car starts runs and drives. Engine sounds fine. Carb will need fettled with due to the different climate. Car will need a good checkover as with any car this age. Brakes and clutch feel good.

 

Interior - Front seats have been changed and rear seats trimmed to match. Good headlining. GT clocks. Retrimmed door cards. Again perfectly useable but room for improvement for sure

 

Wheels - 14" Supaslot type alloys

 

Good solid old car which could be pressed into service as it is but really wants a bit tidying. Great starting point for a project / running resto. Please feel free to come and see the car.
