Austin A40 Somerset. Selling on behalf of a local family whos father saved this car from the breakers yard in 1990 and restored it. It was supllied new by Moir and  Baxter in Edinburgh and has remained in this area all its days. There will be a small amount of spares with the car which the family are looking out.

 

Body - Very solid underneath. Looks to have all been cleaned and painted when it was restored and has survived the test of time.  Has had a patch repair in the boot at some point in its life but otherwise all looks pretty original structurally. Paintwork is now 30 years old so is showing its age a little. Its perfectly useable as it is but if you wanted a show car it might need some attention. Bit of bubbling on nsr door bottom.

 

Interior - Looks all original. Seats are showing a bit of wear but probably justs adds to the character of the car

 

Mechanics - Original engine which was last ran in 2019. We hope to get this up and running in the next few days. Was used fairly regular up until about two years ago.

 

Wheels - Standard wheels  with good tyres
