Ford Escort 1600 Sport. RHD Import from South Africa with all tax and duty paid. NOVA registration has been done and we will do all the paperwork for the new owner to register it in their name.Car starts runs and drives but will need a restoration.



Body - Export spec 1600 Sport shell with similar strengthening on the front to our RS models. Good inner wings, strut tops, Boot wells and lower rear quarters been repaired before and will need redone. Will need work on both front floors. Centre chassis rails are solid but have a lot of dents. Will also need repairs on outer rear floors between the chassis rail and sill. Evidence of filler in both lower quarters, NSR upper quarter at the back, door corners and sills, Paintwork is rubbish. It looks like its been rubbed down with a breeze block will nails in it. Will need fully repainted as part of the restoration.



Mechanics - All standard Sport. Engine starts and runs. No smoke or rattles but will need a service and the carb adjusted to suit our climate as a minimum. Brakes clutch and gearbox are all ok but with any old car will need a good checkover before being sent full tilt down your local B road



Interior - Retrimmed seats. door cards, dashtop and headlining. None of its original but not too bad with no rips or tears. Correct sport clocks. Standard Escort steering wheel



Wheels - Banded sport steels
