1989 Mercedes 300 SL Auto. 84K Miles from new and Motd till Jun22. Car starts runs and drives and can be driven away. It suffered rear end damage a few years ago and is recorded as a CAT S. The damage was repaired as you can see. The car itself is perfectly useable but could do with a bit TLC. We have the current V5 and keys but no real history with the car

 

Body - Mercedes 107 SL. Suffered rear end damage a few years ago and has been repaired. Car looks straight. Paintwork is perfectly presentable. Its not a show winner but neither is it priced that way. The main bit that would require tidying is the rear arches. The nearside has bubbling on it and the offside looks like it previously been repaired but wants done properly.

 

Mechanics - Engine is nice and quiet. Starts no problem with no nasty smoke or rattles. Gearbox works fine. Brakes are good. Car has hardly turned a wheel since its MOT and has been dry stored.

 

Interior - All original. Seats are good. Dash has no cracks. Door cards a bit worn at the bottom but not really noticeable. Hood has a small tear at base. Again not really noticeable. 

 

Wheels - Standard factory alloys with good tyres

 

This car is a usable example which would benefit from a bit money being spent on it. Prices of these cars are rising steadily so they must be considered a good investment.
