Ford Fiesta MK1 sprint / hillclimb / track car. This was built recently by a local guy. He started with a 41000 mile solid car and has spent a small fortune. The car runs really well and is very quick as its so light. We have the V5 here and its ready to go. 

 

Body - 1978 1.1 solid shell which has had any rot cut out and replaced. Doesnt look like there was much as floors look original and are mint. Its got a GRP bonnet and wings fitted and polycarb side windows although we do have the glass to go back in if required. The inner wing has been modified and strengthened to take a 5 speed box. Supersport / XR2 body kit fitted. Paintjob is a bit flat. If your using it as a racer its fine, if you wanted it as a road car might need attention.

 

Mechanics - 1660 Crossflow, flowed head, 244 cam, twin 40s, vibra tech mounts, electronic ignitionlightened and balanced fully rebuilt by Cuthal engineering. Dyno print out at 116bhp. RS Turbo S! gearbox with LSD which was all stripped and checked with new gaskets seals and clutch. XR2 Driveshafts and hubs. Recon XR" calipers with green stuff pads, cross drilled and grooved discs, larger master cylinder and servo, new brake lines throughout, adjustable rear bias valve. Fully poly bushed, adjustable pan hard rod, XR2 anti roll bar, Gaz coilovers front and Gaz rear dampers and springs, Weld in rear strut brace, bolt in front strut brace.

 

Interior - XR2 Dash, steering wheel. Single Sparco seat and harness fitted but spare matching one comes with it 

 

Wheels - Supersport Alloys with Nankang NS-2R tyres.

 

This little car is properly quick and really well built and set up. It pulls right up through the revs, no flatspots or spitting from the carbs. Its a hoot to drive.
