1980 Ford Escort MK2 1.6 Ghia in Black from New. This car had 1 owner from new till 2021 when the second owner acquired it. It was first registered new in Glasgow where it has remained all its days. We have the V5 showing 1 previous owner, some old tax discs, MOTs and original handbook, and accessory brochure. The car starts runs and drives but will need a bit light recommissioning.

Body - MK2 Escort Ghia 4 Door. Good inner wings strut tops, arches, pillars, boot wells. Very solid old car. Had a previous repair on the end of the sill but otherwise all looks in good order. The car has been black with the Tan interior from new and a black vinyl roof. Not sure if it was a special order as dont think ive seen another black one. Overall the paintwork has survived surprisingly well but there are a few marks on it. Bonnet could do with a repaint, bubble on bottom of front passenger door. Overall though a really good survivor.

Mechanics - Good original 1600 crossflow. All standard running gear. Slight blow from exhaust. Car runs and drives well and feels nice and tight. Not sure when it was last serviced so may benefit from one. Good gearbox clutch and brakes.

Interior - Original tan ghia interior, which is all in really good condition. No rips or tears and everything still looks good and not saggy or worn.

Wheels - Alloys with good tyres. i always thought these were Capri wheels but they are available in the Ford Escort accessory brochure we have. Spare is the original steel.
