Selling on behalf of a customer. 1970 Escort MK1 Historic Racecar. This car was raced in South Africa in a Historic Racing Series at Zwartkops Raceway. It was built by a chap called Allan Green over in South Africa , who is well known in the Historic Racing scene In SA. This car is set up for racing and is probably a bit harsh for the road unless you softened up the suspension. Its recently been used for track days at Donington and Knockhill here in the UK.

Body - Mk1 Escort shell. Steel wings with fibreglass bubble arches. Solid underneath but evidence of a few repairs in the past. Strong enough but would benefit from a bit tidying up. Couple of minor dings here and there as it is a race car but overall a strong shell , Full cage fitted which comes through into the engine bay. Fibreglass bonnet, Glass windscreen, rest of the windows are poly.

Mechanics - 2.0 Pinto, Big valve head, cam, Twin 48s, alloy radiator, electronic ignition, electric fan, coilovers, adjustable camber top mounts, rose jointed compression struts, 6 Gallon Tank, twin pumps, quick rack, rear leaf spring set up. 5 speed race gearbox, LSD, English axle,

Interior - Stripped out, Full cage, race seat and harness, single wiper conversion, custom gauges.

Wheels - 8 " Minilites with Yokohama tyres.
