Ford Escort Mk2 1600 Sport, RHD Import From South Africa with only 74000 miles (119000 kms) on it. Very good original example which is very solid and not full of filler. All tax and duty paid and Nova declaration done. Will need UK registered but we will help you with this process. 

 

Body - Export spec shell with similar strengthening to our RS models underbonnet. Original inner wings, strut tops, sills, floors, door pillars, arches. Very very good shell. we have checked the doors, wings, lower quarters arches with a magnet and there is no filler. It all looks very original. Paintwork is nice and tidy and perfectly useable. May have had a small repair at some point in spare wheel and looks to have had bonnet painted at some point. Slight rust bubble on bottom of o/s front wing just on the satin black bit. Much more original than most and a very good looking car.

 

Oily Bits - Good 1600 crossflow with twin 40 webbers added, Starts runs and drives well. Carbs are ok but may need a bit adjustment due to the different climate. Standard 4 speed box.  Standard sport suspension and brakes. 

 

Interior - All standard and generally in good order. One small nick in the vinyl on outside edge of drivers seat and  a crack on dashtop. Good uncut door cards, good headlining, good carpet

 

Wheels - Standard deep dish sport steels
