1973 Ford Cortina 1.6 MK3 Pickup or Bakkie as they are known in South Africa. Genuine Ford factory built pick up and not a conversion. This is a RHD import from South Africa with all tax and duty paid. Nova declaration has been done and we are happy to complete all the registration paperwork for the new owner to get it UK registered. This is the rear styleside early version with the coke bottle style rear and early sloping dash. It has accident damage to the front right hand corner

Body - Genuine factory built early coke bottle pickup. Good inner wings, doors, sills arches. Underneath is very solid and original and never been wleded. Paint is a bit worn as this was a working vehicle and would need redone. It has picked up damage on front drivers side wing, indicator light, lower front panel and looks to have been stored for many years. Taiilgate is also a bit dented and will need a bit work. Few dings on nsr body as well. Really solid old vehicle and much easier to fix a bit panel damage than weld up loads of holes.

Mechanics - 1600 crossflow and 4 speed box. Starts runs and drives. Engine sounds decent. Gearbox, clutch and brakes all work but not been on the road for a long time so will need going through from front to back. Steering rack has tight spots and will need replaced. Carb may need adjusted due to the different climate.

Interior - Original but will need retrimmed.

Wheels- Original Ford steels with hubcaps.

These pickups are very rare and there are probably only a handful of this early type in this country. Good basis for a project as its a solid old thing , but a bit scruffy as it was a workhorse.
