1970 Ford Cortina 1600E in Gold. Car is currently MOTD till September 2018 and can be driven away. Its a good looking car which was restored about 6 or 7 years ago and we would describe as a good useable example but its not a show winner or concours standard. 

 

Body - Four door 1600E shell which is solid as can be seen from recent mot history. It has had a fair bit of work over the years in the usual places like strut tops, floors, boot wells etc. These have been done to an mot standard rather than invisble repairs. Paintwork is very nice and tidy on the outside with only a couple of minor blisters on bottom of the OSF wing. Its been kept garaged at all times and has had very little use over the last 6 years so its still looks very tidy. Underbonnet and in boot its been coated with a light stone chip before it was painted. There is definitely a bit room for improvement on the detail front but overall its a good looking car .

 

Mechanics - All original 1600E. Very quiet engine and box. Starts first time with no fuss, smoke or nasty noises. I have driven a few of these over the past 5 years and this one is by far the tightest and nicest to drive. Car has covered 109000 miles but probably only about a 1000 miles in the last 6 years.

 

Interior - All original. Seats in the main are very good. One small bit of stitching needs repaired and one mark on the side of one of the seats. Good original headlining and doorcards. Nice dash, all guages work. Centre console has a crack. Overall very original and tidy inside.

 

Wheels - Refurbished original alloys with good tyres.
