Ford Escort RS1600i, Rare Caspian Blue Model 1 of only 290 made. This car was registered new in the UK in 1983 and was here till 1992 when it was exported to a hot dry climate. It has recently came back and the DVLA have confirmed it will go back on its original registration number VEC231Y. We have to apply for the V5 but we will do that for the new owner. There is no service history with the car but comes with a full years MOT.; This car is rock solid, 100 percent genuine and has all the correct bits fitted. It has a few minor marks here and there but has no rust. 

 

Body - Correct 1983 RS1600i shell with two bolt strut tops, shorter roof gutters, angled battery tray. Car is solid underneath as it has been in a hot dry country for 28 years. Paintwork is nice and tidt. There are a few marks , one small pin dent on the wing and similar one on the bonnet. Decals on the bonnet are a bit faded due to the sun. Still a very good looking car.

 

Mechanics - All correct RS1600 with twin coils, double anti roll bar, motorsport rocker cover etc. Starts runs and drives well. New handbrake cable recently fitted for MOT and two Track Control Arms. 

 

Interior - Again all standard and correct. Dash has no cracks in it, Seat cloth is generally in good order, Bit of sagging on base of front seats and these might need new foam to bring them round. Good door cards, headlining and carpet.

 

Wheels - Correct 1600i wheels with only markings on one spoke. Please note there are only 4 and no spare came with it. 

 

This is a genuine car which is solid and generally in very good order. It has no real history with it and has a few marks here and there so we have priced it accordingly. Concourse mint cars are double what we are asking, really tidy ones are 6k more than what we are asking. Please feel freee to come and see the car. We have a ramp so you can look underneath.
